in the cellar : It was in 1757 that Carlo Stefano and Giovanni Cinzano were admitted to the prestigious "Confectioners and Distillers Guild". From that time, Cinzano has been characterised by growth and innovation in the production of sparkling wine.
In 1893 the vast lands became the property of the Cinzano family and they immediately set about rebuilding and enlarging the impressive cellars. The House of Cinzano is found in the Piedmontese village of Santa Vittoria d Alba. The villa is set into the Santa Vittoria hillside and conceals the entrance to eight kilometers of cool limestone tunnelling which holds over a million bottles of sparkling wine.
