Nose: Fresh aromas of blueberries, plums, cassis with hints of coffee.
Palate: Elegant, round with firm tannin structure.

In this classically styled wine, the flavours of blueberry, plum and cassis are prominent, enhanced by coffee and toffee undertones. The wine is full-bodied, with firm tannin structure.

Its the perfect companion with hearty meat dishes as well as nuts and cheeses.

in the vineyard : Selective grape selection from the Darling, Swartland and Franschhoek region.

in the cellar : Standard fermentation with selective yeast accompanied by pump-overs and punch downs at optimum temperatures. Extended skin maceration, pressed and postfermentation malolactic.

60% of blend aged for 12 months from select French oak barrels. The balance of the blend was oak staved for 6 months with added micro-oxygenation.
