Adoro 5 Regions Sauvignon Blanc 2008

I made a Sauvignon Blanc that is more old world on the palate with new world fruit. I believe South Africa is the only country that can do this because we have a so many areas were Sauvigon Blanc is produce - from cool long growing areas like Elim to warmer areas like Stellenbosch that gives you the tropical flavors. I made all these wines separate and then blend them together to create a "truly South African Sauvignon Blanc blend" The result is a complex wine from 5 different "terroir" - Stellenbosch brings tropical middle palate, Darling and Durbanville more grassy aromas were Elgin, Elim brings the old world minerally charm to the blend. Nose: Typical lime, fig, citrus and grass aromas. Palate: Tropical, pineapple and ripe melon. I made this wine to compliment food and to be enjoyed with friends.
