This Pinot has similar characteristics of a Burgundy style Pinot Noir. There is a barnyard nose that gives you a hint of earthy undertones with a slight mushroom aroma. On the nose, the fruit is quite concentrated with a deep cassis flavour and that of darker berries such as blackcurrant and dark cherry coming through. The palate offers a savoury feel and an upfront fruit flavour on initial mouth feel . A lingering flavour that sits in the mouth is that of ripe fruit. A soft offering on the aftertaste, that lingers with hints of tones of stewed fruit.
