Perdeberg Weisser Riesling Reserve 2010

Weisser Riesling reveals a pale yellow colour and intense honeycomb, apricot and lime flavours dominate the nose. The palate is well balanced with a fresh acidity and a sweet finish.

Wine is excellent companion for desserts and rich cheese.

in the vineyard : Vineyard are situated in the Durbanville region, consisting mainly of Malmesbury Scally and clay with fine rocks.
in the cellar : Grape bunches are destalked and juice is left on skins over-night allowing it to extract flavours from the skins/raisins. After settling in tanks, the clean juice is racked & fermented with WE372 yeast in 3rd fill French oak barrels. Fermentation lasted 2 months & maturation continued for another 4 months in barrels.
