SylvanVale Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

Colour: Shows its age with a bright red edge with a slightly tawny taint and still a dark red centre. Very typical of strong
Cabernets.
Nose: The nose is still fresh and shows the red and dark cherry fruits as well as the deeper blackcurrant fruits. The wood is
well integrated and supports the wine very well. The wine has a wonderful balance of oak nuances like cedar box. This hints at the complexity of the wine and the ability of the wine to age and become an exciting experience.
Palate: The entry on the palate is smooth and rich, filling the mouth with ripe tannins and the follow through of the dark berry fruit. The wine has a long middle palate and the length and complexity shows in its depth and balance. The acid, alcohol and tannin are perfectly set. The finish is a full palate of red and black berry fruit which will become more intense with time.

Enjoy with a creamy and full flavoured cheese or with steak, oxtail and warm rich bredies.
