ageing : Just like Ouma (Afrikaans for Grandmother), this Sauvignon has the potential to age gracefully over the next 2 - 4 years, although it is already drinking exceptionally well.

about the harvest: Picked by hand in the early morning between 21° - 23° B, picking stops by 10:30. Wine of Origin Stellenbosch/Elgin/Darling.

in the cellar : This Sauvignon Blanc is named in honour of Stefan's octogenarian grand-mother Gezian Louw - the great grand-daughter of Pres. Paul Kruger. Gezina is the family name that has passed from generation to generation starting with Pres. Kruger's wife in the late 1800's. This Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from select cool-climate vineyard sites, which produce a wine the seamlessly intertwines the "green" and tropical elements of the varietal. The bouquet abounds with Kiwi fruit, lime, grape-fruit, green fig and greengage aromas; while the palate is fresh and crisp with a lingering aftertaste.
