Bovlei Lifestyle Cape Ruby (Discontinued)

This pleasant, lower in alcohol, uncomplicated style of Port has a plum-coloured tint with spicy Ruby aromas on the nose. The fruitiness can be tasted and it has a low tannin contents.

in the vineyard : Soil; sandy loam, gravel underlays. Rootstock.

about the harvest: Varieties that are grown in the Wellington area, in the classical tradition of the finest Ports in the world.

in the cellar : After the harvest the grapes were crushed and destemmed and fermented in Rotor tanks. When the right sugar levels were obtained, the fermenting grapes were pressed and the juice fortified with brandy spiritus from the KWV. After maturation in stainless steel tanks the vintages were blended together, protein stabilized with Wyoming Bentonite and naturally cold stabilized.
