about the harvest: Grapes were hand-harvested from bush vine vineyards on Malmesbury shale soils.

Ideal ripening conditions started the 2010 season, with cool temperatures prevailing. Strong winds resulted in some crop loss, but increased concentration of flavours in remaining fruit. Good winter rains in 2009 kept vineyards healthy throughout summer. Overall quality of wines was very good indeed.

in the cellar : Matured in a combination of French and American 225L oak barrels for 6 months for the softening effect of the oak barrels on the tannins. 5% of the barrels were new. Remaining portion was matured in stainless steel tanks. Fined and filtered before bottling with screw cap closures.

Total Production: 1440 x 6 x 750ml
