ageing : A wine to be enjoyed 1 to 5 years after the year of vintage.

in the vineyard : From our vineyards overlooking Walker Bay at the foothills of The Babylonstoren Mountains. Our De Bos Estate takes pride of a place in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley where our vineyards are planted between indigenous fynbos fields. Here ideal soil types combined with the cooling breezes off the Atlantic Ocean (viewable from the vineyards) creates wine growing conditions rivaling the world's best.

in the cellar : The cooled grapes were transported to our cellar, sorted and we also introduced some ripe bunch stems to the must. Regular punch downs and pump overs assured colour extraction. Aged in a third new French oak regime.
