in the vineyard : The vines were planted in 1982, Block Padstall 1, on south facing slopes in sandy duplex soil. We use the six wire trellising system and meticulous viticulture practices like bunch halving and intense canopy management is standard practice. No irrigation is allowed. This is a single vineyard wine, single vineyard being the smallest, most exclusive geographic terroir selection in South Africa.
