in the vineyard : This single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc has the same crisp, steely and grassy character of its Sancerre and New Zealand counterparts. Grown on the cool southern facing slopes of the Estate on high potential Hutton soil. The vineyard produces a low 6 tons per hectare and is picked at 24 °B. The wine received 14 days maceration for optimum extract of flavours and colours from the skins and no barrel ageing.
