Wildekrans Estate Shiraz 2011

A medium bodied cool climate Shiraz with delicate black fruit and pepper spice. The wine is aged in a combination of second and 3rd fill French barrels that enhanced the fynbos character of this farm. Lovely fresh palate, silky smooth with fine elegant tannins.

in the cellar : The estate reds are all made with the same style: hand harvested, destalked and cold soaked over night. Inoculated with selected yeasts, with pump-overs every 3 hours. Removed off the skins at optimum stages and aged in 2nd and 3rd fill French barrels for 12-15 months.
