in the vineyard :

Bowwood Mountain vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, comes from the slopes of the Perdeberg Mountain in Agter-Paarl.

The unique combination of slope, aspect, soil and vineyard management mean we can make a wine that while hugely appealing and drinkable is serious, complex and intriguing.

in the cellar : The Cabernet and Merlot grapes are grown on the same south facing slope, high on the mountain. The soil here is extremely well drained and devigorating ensuring intensely flavoured elegant fruit. Grapes are handpicked and cold soaked whole, without pressing, before naturally fermenting together. They are therefore blended together from the beginning ensuring perfect harmony.
