A ruby red wine with light rim which gives an indication of a younger wine. Medium density. Clear and bright. A forthcoming nose with farmyard aromas, earthy dusty tones and a rich spiciness backed by red berry fruit. The nose follows through on the palate to give a medium to full bodied wine with red berries and plums supported by good wood integration. A well balanced wine with firm tannins.
This wine will go well with a pizza, particularly one with a meaty topping or something more robust such as smoked duck or roasted pork.
