in the vineyard : The Chenin blanc/Steen grapes for this wine came from vineyards in the Perdeberg/Wellington areas planted at 130 to 180 metres above sea level. The vines were planted between 1970 and 1988.

about the harvest: The grapes were picked by hand at 21ºBalling.

in the cellar : In the cellar the juice was briefly in contact with the skins before it fermented at 14ºC for 14 days.
