Drostdy Hof Adelpracht 1999

On the nose the wine has a vibrant, full-ripe raisin bouquet with elegant tropical fruit in the background. On the palate it is an intense late harvest wine with an excellent fruit acid and sugar balance.

in the vineyard : Drostdy-Hof Adelpracht was made of Chenin blanc grapes from vineyards in the Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Wellington areas. The vines were planted at altitudes ranging from 90 to 160 metres above sea level between 1978 and 1989.

about the harvest: The grapes were picked by hand at 23,7 to 24,4° Balling from March 29 until April 15.

in the cellar : In the cellar the juice received 4 hours skin contact and fermented at 14°C for 14 days.
