in the vineyard : The spirit is an expression of soft purity. The southern slopes of Stellenbosch Mountain provide the very best climate and benefiting granite soils for this cultivar. All grapes are harvested and used for premium segment red wines at Blaauwklippen Vineyards.

in the cellar : The Shiraz pomace can be distilled right after the mesh fermentation process. The column still is a special construction made by Hubertus Vallendar himself. Only the heart and the fine-distill are filled into the bottle. The fruity freshness of the product is beautifully captured in this husk spirit.
