Colour: Medium depth of ruby tinged with garnet.
Nose: Dark cherry aromas, violets and wood smoke.
Palate: Medium bodied. A fine grip of savoury Pinot Noir tannins and tightly integrated oak complements the bright cherry acidity of the wine. The wine finishes long on a wonderful aroma of delicately smoked cherries.
The combination of medium body, fine tannins and acidity will work well with charcuterie, pates and terrines, as well as to provide a refreshing wine to balance richer dishes based around venison and game birds. Serving: Cool the wine down to 16-18°C before drinking it.
