Fresh and lively with a flinty nose and elegant lemon and pear flavours. The palate is rich with a delicate mousse and fine bubbles, rounded off with a long zesty finish.

ageing : Made to enjoy on release but it will however reward maturation for a further few years in bottle.

in the vineyard : The grapes are sourced from a single block located on the lower slopes of Klein Constantia. Three different batches were harvested between January and February to ensure freshness, fruit and intensity.

in the cellar : The grapes were whole-bunch pressed using only the freerun juice and fermented, before being aged in 500L barrels for 9 months. Following blending, bottling and secondary fermentation, the wine was aged for a further 20 months before disgorging.
