Oak Valley Mountain Reserve White Blend 2010

The Mountain Reserve expresses distinctive gooseberry and stonefruit character. Finely balanced, waxy lanolin and creamy texture, finish is typically crisp defined by an oyster shell minerality. Some oatmeal and complexity gained from age. A site-specific wine which carries a strong sense of place.

The 20% Semillon component is settled, transferred to barrel, and undergoes spontaneous fermentation. Semillon matures on the lees in 2nd and 3rd fill French oak for 9 months before blending with the Sauvignon Blanc. Only 3,025 bottles made.
