Brampton OVR 2013

The Shiraz, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon give the wine an attractive deep red colour, with mulberry and blackcurrant fruit intensity subtly spiced with cloves on the nose. Fine tannins and structure with depth lead to a lingering finish.

in the vineyard : 2013 was a mild year that resulted in grapes of rich concentration and dense flavours, which were hand-picked from mid-February to the end of March.

about the harvest: Small batches of hand-picked grapes from various varieties were chosen.

in the cellar : All varieties and batches were crushed and fermented separately in stainless steel tank for 2 to 3 weeks. The wine was then matured separately in older oak barrels for 12 months, after which careful blending was done to achieve optimal balance and complexity.
