Riebeek Cellars Montino Petillant Red Rosso NV

Montino Rosso is a charming fruity red with delicious hints of juicy, red fruit on the nose.

Enjoy well-chilled. Pairs perfectly with the fresh summer salads. Alternatively, serve with a rich Malay curry to provide a naturally sweet aromatic counterpoint.

AWARDS

This Spring celebrates the birth of Montino Off-Dry Rosé. A BIG SISTER for Montino Petillant Light. These Montino wines are named after Kasteelberg mountain which guards the Riebeek Valley. With today’s focus on healthy and easy-living these lighter style wines in screw-cap bottles are ideal and nothing can better suit a modern lifestyle than these two wines: Montino Petillant Light & Montino Off-Dry Rosé.

in the vineyard :

Vineyard: Trellised vines
Production: 12 tons per hectare

about the harvest:

The grapes were harvested at an average of 24°C Balling.

in the cellar :

Unlike many ‘light’ wines that are ‘designed’ in the cellar, the Montino range is naturally lower in alcohol. Following a strict policy of ‘nothing added, nothing taken away’, grapes are picked green with less natural sugar for a wine that is naturally lower in alcohol and kilojoules for a more conscious lifestyle. The Montino range is made in ‘pettilant style’, which adds a slight sparkle for a crisp and refreshing finish, perfect for warm summer days.
