This wine has been named after the hard working men and woman that from the cornerstone of one of the biggest industries in our beautiful country. Robust enough to serve with a good Sunday roast but soft enough to appeal to every wine connoisseur, this wine is traditional in style.

in the vineyard : Tree wire Perold trellising, Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 2002 and Merlot as well as Cabernet franc in 2003 on Koffieklip.

about the harvest: Picking started when the grapes were at 24.7°Balling, the acidity in the vineyard were still well above 6.5 g/l with pH at 3.5.

in the cellar : Fermentation started immediately using WE372 as yeast - generally warm fermentation at below 30° C with pump-overs twice a day. After secondary fermentation the wine was transferred to 2nd and 3rd fill French Oak barrels and aged for 12 months.
