Colour: Deep gold.
Bouquet: Very expressive of its varietal, this wine opens with a fragrance of orange zest, orange blossoms, some violets and ripe apricots.
Palate: Zesty, floral characters are echoed on the fresh, vivacious palate, where acidity and wood spice are beautifully harmonised, ending on clean but lingering note.

This wine is particularly versatile with subtly spiced, Asian dishes.

Each hand-crafted wine tells the story of its particular vintage and provenance.
in the vineyard : Grapes were hand-picked from a dryland Darling vineyard that has long been delivering to Nederburg, with individual vines selected for their specific flavour profile. The vines, planted in Tukulu soils in 2000, face in a south-westerly direction and are located around 150 meters above sea level. Further selection of specific bunches and berries took place in the cellar.
about the harvest: The grapes were harvested by hand at 24º Balling during late February.
in the cellar : After bunch and berry selection in the cellar, the fruit was pressed and the juice fermented in a combination of French and Romanian second-fill oak barrels. The wine was kept in maturation for a period of six months.
