about the harvest: Dry winter conditions. 785mm of well-scattered rains recorded until end December. Normal summer. Separate harvests of blocks 18, 26 and 34, on March 20, 1998 at ±24,5° Balling. Yield of 6 tons per ha.

in the cellar : Fermentation in rotor and pump-over tanks at 25-28°C. 10 days' skin contact after fermentation. 85% in French oak and 15% in American oak for 21 months. Bottled on La Motte on June 28, 2001.
