Val du Charron Theatre of Wine Black Countess 2018

The blend has an intense dark red colour with a rich black berry fruit aroma. Notes of plums and cherries can be picked up on the nose. The tannins are rounded and balanced on the palate with a smooth creamy aftertaste.

in the cellar : The cultivars that make up the building blocks of this blend were fermented separately. Cold soaking and juice extraction was applied to concentrate the fruit and tannin structure of the wine. During fermentation pump-overs were done every 4 hours. Malolactic fermentation took place in Flexcubes
whilst the wine was maturing on French oak staves. Blending took place just before bottling.
