The full-bodied palate is in perfect harmony: generously fruity and subtly spicy, with well-judged acidity contributing excellent balance and a lively, lingering aftertaste.

The eagerly awaited 2015 vintage of our Chardonnay has been released and is already in high demand around Europe. It is indeed one of the most impressive vintages to dat from our little patch of heaven up in the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge where the comparatively cool conditions contribute to ideal, slow ripening.

in the cellar :

Barrel fermentation took place at 20° C and was accompanied by fortnightly batonage. 8 months. 30% new wood, 70% 2nd, 3rd fill.

As always cellarmaster JC Martin's winemaking style is restrained, resulting in a terroir expressive wine with escellent balance between freshness, fruit intensity and the complexity derived from judicious use of oak.
