Grande Provence Merlot 2018

The Merlot has upfront notes of vibrant dark cherries and raspberries with hints of wild herbs, tomato leaf and dark chocolate enlivened by touches of cinnamon, cloves,orange peel and earthy tones. The palate is supported by a supple, smooth tannin structure.

This medium-bodied wine has soft, velvety tannins and is best enjoyed with herb crusted lamb, oxtail or hearty stews.

in the vineyard : Our Merlot is sourced from vineyards in the famous Golden Triangle area of Stellenbosch.To capture the sought after varietal characteristics, the grapes are picked early morning at optimal ripeness.

in the cellar : The grapes are brought into the cellar where they are destemmed and cold soaked for a week. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then barrel aged for 12 months.
