Lighthouse Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2019

The 2019 vintage is announced with pungent aromas of citrus and stone fruit with more delicate nuances of pear and blossom that lingers on the aftertaste. Tangy, mouth-filling and refreshing, this style takes you right to the ocean’s edge where you can smell the salt in the air. Loved by city-slickers who follow this style religiously, it embraces both an Old World minerality as well as that flamboyant fruit associated with New World styles.

True to the South African spirit, this wine complements outdoors dining around a fire.
Served chilled it will befriend both fish and meat and complete your favourite pasta.

in the vineyard : Tapping into its cool environment overlooking the Bot River lagoon that runs down to the Atlantic ocean, the vineyards used for this wine celebrates diversity.
Cool winds blowing in from the ocean encourage healthy vines, assuring minimal intervention.

about the harvest: Harvested in the early morning from the sunny northern slopes as well as the cooler southern slopes facing the ocean, drives the result of fruit driven and fresh wines.

in the cellar : Cooled sufficiently and made reductively to protect the fruit-forward style, set the stage for a vibrant wine in the making. Efficient skin contact followed until the desired acid level was reached. The juice was settled for 48 hours then carefully racked into the fermentation tank. Completely tank fermented with smart winemaking techniques to enhance thiols, this wine spent 60 days on the lees, stirred up once a week to enhance mouth feel.
