Bright red cherry in colour and flavours of plums with an earthy minerality makes for endless enjoyment after work, at a steakhouse or around
a fire. Chill it or add a block of ice, as we do in summer on the farm. The palate is infused with red berries, Turkish delight and dried floral spice on the aftertaste.

A perfect partner for any Italian lamb dishes and meaty artisanal flatbreads.

This unconventional blend is inspired by the dog’s cheeky chutzpah.
There’s something about the peculiar things in life that have an uncanny knack of delivering a sense of intrigue. This set of quirky wines is a side-step into a world of unique characteristics, where individuality from the vine is celebrated
through the creation of delicious distinctive wines.
The spotted hound was a cunning little character. Whenever the butcher turned his back, the hound’s quirky nature would take over, and he would help himself to the finest cuts on offer.
in the vineyard : The Sangiovese is grown on the northern the slopes of the Helderberg, with the Shiraz and Malbec, Petite Syrah, Grenache and Cinsaut all originating from Agter-Paarl. The Cinsaut and Grenache are bush vine cultivated. The soils these vineyards grow in are mostly weathered granite, which imparts excellent minerality to the fruit.
in the cellar : In the cellar, the individual components spent 8 months in the finest 2nd and 3rd fill oak barrels, whereafter they were blended. The result is a wine that shows a slight saltiness on the nose with hints of soft cardamom spice.
This daring, exotic blend consists of Sangiovese 24%, Shiraz 20%, Petite Syrah 19%, Grenache Noir 16%, Cinsaut 16% and Malbec 5%.
