This beautiful Rhône-style blend is the newest addition to the Vrede en Lust range. The vineyard development which we’ve done at Vrede en Lust over the past couple of years included the planting of Grenache and Viognier giving us scope to produce more Rhône-style red wines.

Ella is named after Dana & Anneke Buys’s youngest daughter. The wine is full of character just like little Ella.

in the cellar : The grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness and the different components all fermented and aged separately. The wine matured on oak for 12 months before bottling.
