Wellington Wines Duke No5 White Pinotage 2021

A beautiful showcase of the versatility of the uniquely South African Pinotage. Creating a style which is a happy medium between white, red or rosé wines. This surprise in a bottle is professor Perold’s gift that keeps on giving. The rose gold colour which hues elude the subtle stone fruit and creaminess of the wine.

The wine can be enjoyed with seafood, poultry and rich desserts.

The town of Wellington was established in 1840 and the name changed in honour of the 1st Duke of Wellington, renowned soldier and conqueror of Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. The Duke is a dynamic figure. The range collectively is known as DUKE which includes remarkably, well-balanced wines. Innovative and premium, the range includes one of only a handful of White Pinotage wines produced in the world, along with a Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Pinotage. To make something grand affordable, the DUKE range is a great quality wine at an accessible price point.

Hand pressing took place, slightly earlier than usual, with juice and skins separated early on, ensuring a crisp white colour.
