Vriesenhof Jan Boland Coetzee 2020

Dark brooding in appearance. Classic aromas of pencil shavings and forest floor lifted by fresh cherry. The palate has finesse and balance finishing on a long complex note.

Pizza, meat dishes or a great accompaniment for a braai – to be enjoyed with friends.

Ancient river terraces and commanding mountain vistas provide the backdrop to our vines and beautiful hillside cellar. The Jan Boland Coetzee pays homage to the founder of Vriesenhof and embodies a lifetime of his observation and wisdom accumulated amongst the vines. The components are vinified separately, and the blend is assembled after 6 months.

in the cellar : The wine was matured in French oak barrels for 18 months. A combination of 1st / 2nd / 3rd and 4th fill barrels were used.
