Spicy, smoky fynbos nose with rich savoury notes. Soft, rich flavours led by black pepper, plums, and complex savoury spice with nice hints of dark chocolate. Good long finish with lots of spicy fruit.

about the harvest: Hand harvested

in the cellar : De-stalked, and cold-soaked overnight and fermented with special yeast with calculated maceration and pump-over methods. Skins removed before dry, and aged in new French Oak barrels for 18 months. A variety of first, second and third fill barrels were used to enhance certain flavours and complexity.
