Hartenberg Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2021

The bouquet is flush with aromas of black cherries, mulberries, and raspberries, underpinned by notes of cassis and subtle hints of white pepper. The palate is brooding with flavours of black fruits that burst forth, enveloped by fine, grippy tannins that pave the way for a luxuriously prolonged
finish.

The wine has the ability to grace all tables from those where fine cuisine is offered to those where companionship and relaxation are preferred. Pizza with all its various toppings (but not too much chilli), all traditionally prepared meat dishes (i.e. stews and grills), grilled or roasted game fish (ideally without a lemon based sauce) or for pudding.

ageing : 5 - 12 years from vintage

In much the same way that many Bordeaux chateaux have their “second” wines, this is ours. While specific vineyard blocks are dedicated to the blend to ensure consistency of character, grapes which haven’t quite cracked the nod for our high-end wines (due to our critical selection philosophy), happily find their way into this blend. Produced since 1990. The most sold wine in the Hartenberg portfolio, now celebrating 33 vintages

in the cellar : Barrel Ageing 16 months in older French oak barrels
