It is a fruit basket of aromas with zesty ruby grapefruit and nuances of pink candy as the wine opens up. The palate is light and fresh with a well-balanced crispness. A fruity Rosé with subtle notes of strawberry in the background, ideal for everyday enjoyment.

This is our second vintage of a lighter style of Rosé at Avontuur Estate. We are delighted to present you with a Rosé that is lower in alcohol content,made from the juice of four specially selected Red grape varieties. It has an elegant, light rose colour.

in the vineyard : Lying at the foothills of Helderberg Mountain, Avontuur is blessed with well-drained Hutton and Clovelly soils. Planted on the west-facing slopes. Trellised on a 5-wire Perold system. Supplementary irrigation.

about the harvest: Grapes were harvested 28th January to 4th of February. Average °B at harvest was 20.5

in the cellar : Pinot Noir and Pinotage grapes were harvested before the onset of full colour development in the vineyard and pressed after 3 – 5 hours of
skin contact. The juices were fermented separately with selected yeast strains.
