Doring Bay is the home location for the Fryer’s Cove Winery. The actual winery is perched on the jetty that juts into the cold South Atlantic Ocean. The unique winery building is an old Crayfish factory, and our winery, as far as we know is the only winery built on the sea in the world!

in the vineyard : The season started of with some weather fluctuations which influenced bud break and flowering and causing less and uneven loose bunches with small berries. Despite the challenges and recovering from the severe drought the wines shows good acidity levels and very nice flavour profiles. Phenolic ripeness occurred at lower sugar levels resulting in lower alcohol wines.
