The distinctive profile of the Cabernet Sauvignon has been softened and complimented by the more accessible Merlot to produce this elegant yet finely muscled wine. Deep plum-red in colour with carmine robe. Hints of mint and chocolate with rich black fruit. A medium bodied wine which smacks of ripe youngberries and finishes with a persistent smokey note. Depsite having been matured in new barrels the wine is subtly wooded and well intergrated with pleasing tannins contributing essential backbone to its structure.
