Stettyn Cellar Vin de Paile 2001 (Wine from sundried grapes)

A medium dry natural straw wine in a unique style. Whips of dried apricot and oak derived vanilla dominate the first impression. The sugar acid balance is perfect and the overpowering roundness stays with you for quite some time. The natural alcohol is well integrated and will add a glow to any cold winters day.

in the vineyard : Hanepoot grapes were sourced from the Kloof site on the farm Stettyn. The grapes were left hanging on the vines for as long as possible.
about the harvest: Hand picked in lug boxes and transported to the cellar at this stage the berry’s resembled light brown fleshy bugs. The sugar content at picking was 38º Balling.
