in the vineyard : The vineyard is situated on eastern slopes consisting of eroded Paardeberg granite. Soil ensures good root development for the 32 year old bush vines for optimum ripening of the fruit.

about the harvest: The grapes are picked at 26º Balling.

in the cellar : The grapes are fermented to 11º Balling. Fortified with brandy spirits and sent to French barrels for 24 months. Final blends are made from selected barrels prior to bottling.
