in the cellar : There are no records of the first plantings in South Africa, however this cultivar had most probably been grown here for the past two centuries. In recent years it has become the most planted red variety in the Cape. This wine has wood exposure for about nine months, depending on the wine itself. This vintage was also awarded a Gold Medal and was chosen for South African Airways.
