L Avenir Chardonnay Cape Riesling 1995

A refreshing, mostly unwooded, dry blend of Chardonnay and Cape Riesling. It shows typical Chardonnay characteristics on the palate with added spicy fruit from the Cape Riesling. A crisp, dry white that should mature well over the next year.

The Cape Riesling was harvested at 22.5º Balling on 10 February 1995.

in the cellar : The wine was left in its secondary lees for 4 months before being blended, stabilised and bottled. Only approximately 5% of the Chardonnay was wooded in French oak.
