about the harvest: Hanepoot (Muscat d'Alexandrie) grapes are harvested when they are full ripe which retains the fruity intensity of the grape when making this wine.

in the cellar : After harvest the grapes are destemmed and crushed. The juice and grape skins are then cold soaked for 12 hours before being pressed. The fresh, fruity juice is then fortified with grape spirit until a level of 16.5% alcohol is reached. Our Hanepoot 2003 is a compliment to the fruitiness of the Hanepoot grape.
