Deep, almost opaque colour with garnet rim. Complex bouquet with layers of spicy cedar wood and tinderbox followed by blackcurrant and cassis fruits. Dark fruits with hints of liquorice on the palate complement rich velvet-like tannin structure. This gives way to a lingering finish of ripe black cherries.

This wine is great with game; quail and duck are also a perfect match. Try some hard cheeses like pecorino or Parmesan if you dare.
