Intense deep red colour. Aromatic, complex nose with hints of black berries, dark chocolate and mintyness in the background. Aroma's carry through on a spicy palate with fine tannin structure underlined with gentle oak to ensure a silky finish.

    in the cellar : Extended skin contact for two weeks after fermentation. Malolactic fermentation completed in barrel. After 20 months in French oak barrels (70% new, 30% 2nd-fill), the wine was bottled in October 2002.
