Laibach Wooded Chenin Blanc 1997

This is an extremely complex, mouthfilling wine with a crisp, fresh finish. It has an intense toasted and nutty character with some tropical and citrus flavours. The wine is full bodied and the wood, the wood, backs up the fruit and wine balance assures that the wood character does overpower the wine.

in the cellar : This Chenin Blanc was fermented in 100% new oak and it was matured in the same barrels for 5 months. Small berries, which were very concentrated with rich, fruit flavours were carefully picked, at optimum ripeness. Malo Lactic Fermentation in barrel added to the softness and roundness of this wine.
