Mont Destin Grenache 2002

Mouth filling black cherries and dark chocolate flavours followed by a long, rich raspberry finish. This red wine is unique, as it can also be enjoyed chilled.

about the harvest: The grapes were harvested from 25 year old Bush vines.
in the cellar : Destemming and crushing into open wood fermentors was followed by an 8 day cold soak at 14ºC. During fermentation the must was punched down by hand. It was left on the lees after malolactic fermentation for 3 months with batonage once a month. The wine softened and gained complexity in second and third fill barrels for 6 months.
