Stony Brook Shiraz 1997

This wine has intense blueberry fruit and coffee/mocha on the nose as well as some hints of smokiness. The middle palate is rich and full with bold, soft tannins.

ageing : This wine will certainly benefit from another 3 to 4 years in the bottle.
in the cellar : The grapes used came from 18 year old vines. 50% of this Shiraz was fermented in barrels using both French and American oak and thereafter all the wine was barrel matured for 12 months.
