A very elegant but outspoken dry white wine. The complexity between the wood and the typical gooseberry and tropical flavours make this a very appealing wine with a rich and creamy taste. Made from Sauvignon Blanc in the classic French style from Sancerre in the Loire Valley.

in the vineyard : These quality grapes are grown on the cool slopes of the Piekenierskloof Mountain at 700m above sea level.

about the harvest: The grapes were hand picked by night and carefully transported in small bins to the cellar.

in the cellar : Cool crushed grapes underwent 48 hour skin contact under reductive conditions before fermented under controlled conditions at 11Â°C. The wine underwent six months wood ageing in a stainless steel tank on its fermentation lees. Everything was done reductively.
